The Woodpeckers Adjustable Setup Block is a physical reference tool that leads to more accurate machine set-ups than trying to adjust to a scale. Many woodworkers use sets of blocks for this task, but the Woodpeckers Adjustable Setup Block is a single device that adjusts to any dimension between 1/64" to 1-3/16". Users can position the reference surface using the easy-to-read scale and dial in their cutter height or fence position with precision.

The Adjustable Setup Block is easy to use, requiring just three steps to achieve the desired dimension. First, users depress the quick-adjust button and slide the reference surface up or down until it's close to the target. Then, they use the micro-adjust knob to dial in the exact dimension before tightening the locking knob.

The Adjustable Setup Block's ramped design spaces out the graduations over 2-1/2 times, making it easier to work with tiny fractions. The tool has two scales, with the "TOP" scale measuring the distance from the bottom of the base to the top of the reference plate, and the "BOTTOM" scale measuring the distance from the bottom of the base to the bottom face of the reference plate. This allows the tool to be used for setting bit depth, bit height, and blade height on various woodworking machines.

The Adjustable Setup Block is an attractive tool with a quality feel. The triangular base and reference plate are meticulously machined from a solid billet of aluminum and anodized with the famous "Woodpeckers Red" finish. Stainless-steel inlays with an old-school jeweled finish provide a handsome contrast, and the adjusting and locking hardware parts are all turned on Swiss lathes from high-grade stainless steel. The scales are laser engraved to a tight tolerance of .004" total accumulated error.

The Adjustable Setup Block is available in both inch and metric versions, with the inch model ranging from 1/64" to 1-3/16" and the metric model ranging from 0.5mm to 28mm. Both models are precisely machined and carefully inspected in Woodpeckers' Strongsville, Ohio, manufacturing facility. The tool comes with a wall-mountable Rack-It storage system to keep it well protected but always in plain sight.
