In the hills of western North Carolina, professional woodworker Greg Paolini designs and builds one-of-a-kind commissioned furniture and exquisite custom kitchens. In his spare time, he develops tools to make woodworking faster, easier, and more enjoyable. Several years ago, Paolini contacted Woodpeckers with his idea for the ideal woodworker's pocket rule, and the Paolini Pocket Rules have since become a favorite OneTIME Tool.

The Paolini Pocket Rules feature a unique sliding stop that can be locked in place to make repetitive measurements on multiple boards. Additionally, a fine notch at the end of the rule allows it to be used as an instant marking gauge. When vertical measurement is needed, the stop can be removed from the end of the rule and inserted into the cut-out, creating a perfect stand to keep the rule upright while both hands are used to dial in the height of a router bit, saw blade, or dado stack.

The Paolini Pocket Rules are available in two material choices, anodized aluminum or stainless steel, and three calibration options: inch-only, metric-only, or a combination of inch and metric. The inch models feature 1/16" and 1/32" scales on both sides, with the scales aligned so that users can easily switch between the finer and coarser graduations. The metric models are calibrated in 1mm increments on both sides.

Woodpeckers offers the Paolini Pocket Rules in three different lengths: 6", 8", and 12" (or 150mm, 200mm, and 300mm for the metric models). Customers can choose to purchase a single rule or a set of three, with or without the Rack-It accessory. Regardless of the material, calibration, or length chosen, the Paolini Pocket Rules feature Woodpeckers' state-of-the-art laser engraving, ensuring a clean and precise look that will appeal to generations of woodworkers.

As with all Woodpeckers products, the Paolini Pocket Rules are precisely machined and carefully inspected at the company's factory in Strongsville, Ohio, just south of Cleveland.
