The Woodpeckers Precision Square Family is available in sizes ranging from 6 inches up to 26 inches. The 641 and 851 Squares feature a one-piece central core with cheeks offset to create a shoulder, allowing the squares to rest on the edge of the stock without falling. The central core is notched to allow marking all the way to the edge referenced by the offset cheeks, making them ideal for "apron pocket" companions and for checking assemblies while upright.

The 1281R Square has a one-piece square core with cheeks sandwiching it to form a comfortable grip that can stand on its own. The shoulder formed by the cheek offset keeps the square flat on the work without the need for additional support. The 1812 and 2616 Squares are large precision squares designed for checking large cabinet assemblies, with the central core notched to allow marking all the way to the edge. These larger squares also make squaring up an MFT (Multifunction Table) a simple task and can be used to square up a straight edge for results that rival a table saw.

Woodpeckers' precision squares are manufactured with exceptional accuracy, with the process starting with a solid piece of cast aluminum tool plate that is carefully machined on state-of-the-art CNC equipment. The result is a single-piece ruler and handle square accurate to within 0.001 inch along the full length of the tool. The squares feature stainless steel dowel pins that ensure bulletproof rigidity and perfect alignment, delivering strength and accuracy that cannot be matched by squares made using separate ruler and handle parts or punched-out on a stamping press.

The squares offer a range of features, including a shoulder on the inside edge of the handle to allow it to lay flat on the work for accurate marking, a thick base for easy upright standing to check machinery setups, a notch in the central core to "zero-out" layout lines to the edge of the work, and easy-to-read laser-etched measurement scales in 1/16th increments on both sides of the ruler. The squares come in a wall-mountable case for convenient storage and display.
