1/4": "Just right" medium thickness - That bit of extra bulk for successful heavier painting (like resin) or woodworking (like a lazy Susan).

1/2": The thicker, stronger plywood circle - The hard-to-find thickness you need for woodworking or for a heavier craft project (like a serving tray or stronger lazy Susan).
