The Woodpeckers Precision Square Family is available in sizes ranging from 6 inches to 26 inches. These squares feature a one-piece central core with offset cheeks that create a shoulder, allowing them to rest on the edge of the stock without falling. The central core is notched to allow marking all the way to the edge referenced by the offset cheeks, making them ideal for "apron pocket" companions, particularly for smaller work like jewelry boxes.

The wide, stable base formed by the added cheeks keeps the squares upright while checking assemblies. The 1281R square has a one-piece square core with cheeks sandwiching it, forming a comfortable grip that can stand on its own. The shoulder formed by the cheek offset keeps the square flat on the work without the need for extra support.

The larger 1812 and 2616 squares are designed for checking large cabinet assemblies, with the central core notched to allow marking all the way to the edge. These larger squares make squaring up an MFT (Multi-Function Table) a simple task and can be used to square up a straight edge for results that rival a table saw.

Woodpeckers offers both Imperial and Metric versions of their precision squares, with the Imperial sizes ranging from 6 inches to 26 inches and the Metric sizes from 150 mm to 660 mm. The squares are accurate to within 0.001 inch along the full length of the tool and are made in the USA from high-quality, stable cast aluminum. The manufacturing process ensures precision and rigidity, with the cheeks attached to the handle using stainless steel dowel pins for bulletproof strength and perfect alignment.

The squares feature a shoulder on the inside edge of the handle to allow them to lay flat on the work, and a notch at the inside corner to "zero-out" layout lines. They also have easy-to-read measurement scales laser-etched in 1/16th increments on both sides of the ruler. The squares come in a wall-mountable case for convenient storage and display.
