When used with Woodpeckers' DelVe Squares and SkillSquares, the Stair Gauges make repetitive angle marking a breeze. Clamping a gauge at the desired angle ensures that each subsequent mark will be identical, improving speed, accuracy, and consistency in tasks such as marking miter cuts, rafters, and stair stringers. This feature also works with other brands of carpenter squares that have angle graduations.

The Stair Gauges can also be utilized with Woodpeckers' Precision Triangles. By setting the desired offset dimensions on the triangle and indexing them to the stock, users can easily mark offsets from corners, even when the offsets are different on each side.

Of course, the Stair Gauges can still be used for their traditional purpose – laying out the rise and run on stair stringers. Additionally, they can be clamped to a framing square to keep the tool square and flat against the material, simplifying square layouts.
