The Woodpeckers HexScale Rule is a unique tool that offers six different graduations in one. Inspired by the triangular rules used in the days of drafting tables, the HexScale Rule provides the six most useful graduations for woodworking: left-to-right and right-to-left measuring in both inches and millimeters, and a centering scale in both systems.

The left-to-right measurement is the most familiar to woodworkers, with the scale increasing towards the right from the zero at the left edge. The right-to-left measurement is useful for tasks like setting up a table saw, where you often need to measure from the rip fence on the right to the edge of the blade.

The centering scale takes the math out of finding the center of a board. By adjusting the rule so that the same measurement lines up on both edges, the zero will be at the exact center of the material, allowing you to either mark the center or lay out points the same distance either side of center.

The inch and metric graduations are organized to help users become fluent in metric measurements. If you're looking at a scale in inches, simply roll the HexScale one time, and the equivalent metric scale will replace it.

The HexScale Rule also features stops that can be easily slid onto the tool for repetitive marking. Woodpeckers offers the HexScale in four different lengths: 6", 12", 24", and 36", which are available individually or as a complete set.

All Woodpeckers products, including the HexScale, are precisely machined and carefully inspected at the company's facility in Strongsville, Ohio, just south of Cleveland. The HexScale's distinctive architectural-style shape allows the laser-engraved scales to be placed right down on the material, virtually eliminating parallax viewing error.
