Woodpeckers Paolini Pocket Rule, 6 / 150mm Combo, Woodworking Ruler

In the hills of western North Carolina, professional woodworker Greg Paolini designs tools to make woodworking faster, easier, and more enjoyable. Several years ago, Paolini contacted Woodpeckers with an idea for the ideal woodworker's pocket rule, which has since become a favorite OneTIME Tool.

The Paolini Pocket Rules stand out due to their unique features. The most notable is the sliding stop that can be locked in place to make repetitive measurements on multiple boards. Additionally, a fine notch in the end of the rule allows it to be used as a marking gauge.

For vertical measurements, the stop can be removed and inserted into the cut-out on the blade, creating a stand to keep the rule upright while both hands are used to dial in the height of a router bit, saw blade, or dado stack.

The inch model of the Paolini Pocket Rule features 1/16" and 1/32" scales on both sides, with the scales aligned so that users can easily switch between the finer and coarser graduations. This is a welcome feature for those with less than perfect shop lighting or eyesight. For those who prefer metric, the same design is available with 1mm scales on both sides. A combo calibration option is also offered, with 1/16" and 1mm scales on one side and 1/32" and 1mm on the other.

Woodpeckers offers the Paolini Pocket Rules in two material choices: anodized aluminum and stainless steel. The aluminum version is 1/8" thick, while the stainless steel model is 1/16" thick. Both are milled to a precise 1-inch width. Regardless of the material or calibration choice, the rules feature clean, precise laser engraving that will impress generations of woodworkers.

The Paolini Pocket Rules are available in three different lengths: 6", 8", and 12" (or 150mm, 200mm, and 300mm for the metric-only models). Customers can purchase a single rule or a set of three, with or without the Rack-It accessory.

All Woodpeckers products, including the Paolini Pocket Rules, are precisely machined and carefully inspected at the company's facility in Strongsville, Ohio, just south of Cleveland.
